Transport Canada RPAS Certified · Nanaimo, BC
Cinematic drone photography & videography for real estate, commercial, and construction projects — captured with precision, delivered with polish.
Blue Diamond Visuals brings a cinematic eye to every flight. Whether it's showcasing a property, documenting a construction site's progress, or capturing a landscape from an angle you've never seen, we combine Transport Canada RPAS-certified piloting with a genuine eye for composition — so every shot looks intentional, not just aerial.
Every project starts with a conversation about your goals, not a price sheet. We'll scope the flight, the deliverables, and a custom quote built around what you actually need.
Get to Know UsA diamond isn't found finished — it's formed under pressure, then cut and polished until every facet catches the light. That's the standard behind Blue Diamond Visuals. Every flight is planned with intention, every frame composed with care, and every final edit polished until it's flawless, pristine, and unmistakably sought after. We don't just deliver footage — we deliver work cut to the same standard as the stone in our name.
Clean, crisp capture with zero visual clutter — every shot as sharp as it is composed.

The questions we're asked most often. If yours isn't here, just ask.
Every project is quoted individually, so there's no price list on this site. Cost depends on the location, how much flight time is needed, how many finished photos or video minutes you want, and how quickly you need them back.
Send through the details and you'll get a fixed quote — no hourly surprises after the fact.
Yes. The owner and operator holds a Transport Canada Pilot Certificate — Basic Operations for remotely piloted aircraft, and every flight follows the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
Proof of certification can be provided on request — property managers and commercial clients often need it for their own files.
Not quite — and it's better you know this upfront. Under Basic Operations we fly in uncontrolled airspace, keep more than 30 m horizontally from people not involved in the shoot, and stay well clear of airports and heliports. Flights are also kept within visual line of sight.
In practice that covers the large majority of property, landscape and job-site work. If your location sits in controlled airspace or needs close proximity to bystanders, we'll tell you during the quote and talk through the options rather than turn up and cancel.
We're based in Nanaimo and work across central Vancouver Island. Projects further afield are welcome — travel is simply factored into the quote.
Turnaround depends on the size of the project and how much editing is involved. A straightforward property shoot comes back faster than a multi-location video edit.
You'll get a specific delivery date in your quote before the flight, and rush turnaround can usually be arranged if you're working to a listing or campaign deadline.
Wind, rain and low cloud all affect both safety and image quality, so we watch the forecast in the days before a shoot and stay in touch with you.
If conditions aren't safe or the light won't do the property justice, we reschedule to the next suitable window at no extra cost. Nobody benefits from flying in bad weather.
You'll need to have the right to grant access to the property we're taking off from, and if it's a strata, business park or shared site, it's worth giving the manager a heads-up.
Airspace authorisation and regulatory compliance are our responsibility, not yours — we handle that side.
Fully edited, colour-graded files delivered digitally — high-resolution stills suitable for both web and print, and video cut to the length agreed in your quote.
If you need specific sizes or aspect ratios for MLS, a website or social, tell us up front and we'll export accordingly.
A week or two gives the best chance of hitting an ideal weather and light window, particularly for real estate where golden-hour timing matters. That said, shorter notice is often workable — it's always worth asking.
